Mary F. Slaughter, M.A., Founder of MFS Consulting, LLC Joins Edgewater Talent Advisory Board

Distinguished Principal Research Fellow in the Human Capital Center with The Conference Board Enhances Edgewater Talent’s Executive Coaching & Leadership Consulting Services


CHICAGO, OCTOBER 2, 2025 – Edgewater Talent announces the appointment of Mary F. Slaughter to its Advisory Board. Slaughter, M.A., has an exceptionally strong pedigree in the Human Resources field including CHRO, Chief Talent Officer, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer and Global Head of Employee experience for notable brands including AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Wachovia, SunTrust Banks, and Morningstar.


Ms. Slaughter also joins Edgewater’s Leadership Consulting Division as an Executive Coach and HR/Leadership Consultant.  Her coaching experience is unsurpassed. Mary is a Distinguished Principal Research Fellow in the Human Capital Center at The Conference Board where she also serves as Program Director for their talent councils, and her industry advisory roles have included the Association for Training Development (ATD) Board of Directors, Bersin by Deloitte’s Advisory Council, and George Mason University’s Chief Learning Officer Program. She currently serves on ATD’s Industry Awards Committee, recognizing outstanding learning leaders and practitioners. Mary is also a member of GP Strategies Advisory Board, a global consulting services firm, and a leader in the transformation of talent development solutions and HR technology integration.

Slaughter is the Founder of MFS Consulting, LLC, based in Atlanta. Her teams consistently have been recognized for excellence including Bersin & Associates for leadership development, Brandon Hall for sales talent management, CLO Magazine for academic partnerships, Training Magazine’s Top 125, and ATD BEST for exceptional enterprise learning.


As a Managing Director and senior advisor, Mary has led client engagements for Deloitte – Learning Advisory Services as well as EY- People Advisory Services. As EVP, Consulting at The NeuroLeadership Institute (NLI), she developed strategies and programs grounded in social and neuroscience research to drive behavior change at scale. She continues to serve as a Senior Advisor for NLI’s clients, supporting their organizational transformations.
